Situated on the Gulf of Thailand the Anantara Resort is a breathtaking combination of luxuriant tropical gardens and golden beaches. The village design gives your dream holiday a luxury feel that is unique. You are only an hour away from Bangkok, but it is easy to forget that as your cares slide away in this heaven on earth location.

The accommodation at Anantara is palatial offering views of the gardens or the ocean. The decor has a traditional Thai flavour with an understated elegance. "The weather in Bangkok and Hua Hin was mainly warm with the average temperature in the day time of 30 degrees celscius and about 24 at night. The days were mainly sunny with periods of overcast. Off the eleven days that we were there we only had rain for one day but the temperature was high enough to swim, no major thunderstorms etc."

There is no way to reach Hua Hin from the hotel except for the taxi or the shuttle provided by the hotel. Unbelievably, they wanted money for the shuttle also! which is kind of "mandatory" if you want to reach the city centre... you do not expect this kind of request from a 5 star hotel. the service was not that good.

Bed rooms were not quite to the standard we were expecting. Due to us being out playing golf we did not take full advantage of the club level facilities.
