The Occidental Grand Aruba is located in the most vibrant and cosmopolitan area of Aruba, Palm Beach, so you get a fantastic hotel close to all the tourist attractions and sights. Shopping areas, entertainment, lounges and discos are only steps away so you can take in the vibrant nightlife whilst enjoying a luxury resort holiday.

The hotel has plenty to keep you entertained should you wish to stay in resort for the day with 5 restaurants and 4 bars and a swimming pool with 2 Jacuzzis. There is an extensive programme of sports and fun activities such as aqua aerobics, diving demonstrations and beach volleyball.

The Occidental Grand Aruba has two floodlit tennis courts and snorkelling equipment is available for you to explore the underwater world. There is a kids club for the little ones with a range of supervised activities for children aged 4 to 12 years.

The rooms at the resort range from deluxe rooms right through to a Royal Club Master Suite Ocean View. Each of the rooms at the Occidental Grand Aruba have a minibar, satellite TV and air conditioning as well as a bathroom with hairdryer and Wi-Fi internet access.

The Premium Lanai rooms are in the south tower of the hotel located at the pool whilst the Deluxe Ocean View rooms enjoy stunning views of the beautiful waters.

Premium Jacuzzi Ocean Front rooms include a Jacuzzi with a view of the ocean and the Royal Club rooms give you private check-in. The Royal Club Master Suite option is perfect if you want lots of space as they feature a living room, dining room and spacious balcony with your own private Jacuzzi.

You can discover exotic flavours at one of the resorts 5 restaurants or relax in one of the bars and watch the beautiful sunset. The Palm is an international buffet-style restaurant with air-conditioned inside seating or terrace seats overlooking the pool. L'Olio is an a la carte restaurant offering a wide range of Italian dishes and a wide selection of wines and you can enjoy Mexican cuisine in the El Olvido restaurant.

If you love sushi you can visit Zen that offers an authentic Pan-Asian cuisine and for Caribbean flavours head to Desire which is located on the beach front of the hotel and specialises in fresh meat and seafood dishes.

For a refreshing drink head to the Beach Club Restaurant which also offers light lunches and snacks and the Splash Bar lets you sample tropical cocktails without even having to get out of the pool. You can begin your night in the lobby bar where you will be entertained by live music and the Desire Lounge is the perfect place to enjoy moonlight views of the beach on the elevated terrace.

The Occidental Grand Aruba has many activities included within the All-inclusive package so you can try snorkelling, water aerobics and activities at the pool or on the beach.

Other activities which can be enjoyed as optional extras include a nearby golf course, scuba diving and other water sports as well as Parasailing, car rental and private tennis lessons.

The hotel is nice and in perfect location but could do with some TLC. The guest services were not very good but the hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The buffet food was average, however the al a carte restaurants were all very nice.
